Navigation is the list of links on the left.

Navigation allows people to move through a site. It is crucial that the navigation be clean and efficient. It should not be overcrowded with tons of links to every piece of content that exists within the site. Similar items should be group together. Below is an example of good and poor navigation.

Poor Navigation Good Navigation

There is an obvious difference between the two navigations in the example. One is clear and easy to figure out. The other is not as well organized. Strive for the "Good" example.
