Sometimes it will be appropriate to link to an object instead of displaying it on the page. The link needs placed inside of an article or text object.
- Open the text or article you want to insert a link.
- Click in the text or article where to add the link.
- Click the "Insert Object" button
.
- A window should pop open. Browse the “Content Object” drop down menu to find the type of file and eventually the file that is linked.

- Check the box and then click the “Insert Object Link” button.
- If you are inserting a PDF and would like to link directly to the PDF and NOT have it open in a new window...
- Follow the instructions above.
- Right click on the link for the PDF and select "Copy shortcut"
- Then, go back to your Text item and click "Edit this Text"
- Highlight the text that you'd like to make the link, you can highlight the existing link
- Then click the "Create or Modify Link" button
- A new window should pop up.
- In the URL
box, erase everything, right click in the box and select "Paste"
- You can leave everything else alone and click "Insert Link"
